The death of 8-year-old Martin Richard in Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing was one of the most heartbreaking results of the attack that shocked the nation. Now, heartbreak turns to rage.
Megyn Kelly of Fox News said Thursday on Twitter that her colleague Rick Leventhal reported that the FBI had a photo of one of the suspects — the one in the white cap, identified by the FBI as “Suspect 2″ — placing his deadly backpack bomb right next to the young boy. This photo, reportedly discovered online by members of the Reddit community, appears to capture that scene:
Three days after Monday’s bomb attacks that killed three people and injured more than 170 in Boston, the FBI held a press conference Thursday at which they released photos of two suspects identified from surveillance video of the scene at the Boston Marathon.
The FBI and the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) are seeking tips from the public about these two suspects. Persons having information should contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or a special online tip site set up by the agency. FBI Special Agent in Charge Richard DesLauriers said that the two suspects should be considered “armed and extremely dangerous,” and warned the public: “Do not take any action on your own.” Report them to police or the FBI.
