In yet another attempt for the press to package all occurrences surrounding the royal birth as “news”, reports are breaking that Kate Middleton’s mother Carole describes the new prince as “absolutely beautiful.”

Carole and Kate’s father Michael spent about two hours today in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, where the Prince of Cambridge was born yesterday afternoon. They appear to be the first relatives to visit the new royal family of three and were all smiles when providing reporters with a short but glowing summary of their visit.

Highlights: everyone is doing “fabulously” and holding the baby for the first time was “amazing.”

Not provided, however, was information about the newborn’s name. In the typically withholding fashion demonstrated by royals and new parents who want a moment of privacy, Mrs. Middleton had one reply for reporters who asked if she might tell them the much-betted-upon moniker: “Absolutely not!”
