Husbands everywhere are wide-eyed: Hooters is going to be offering free entrees (of $10 or less) to all moms who bring in at least one kid (one of their own children, that is) to dine in tomorrow, Mother’s Day 2013 (but only if mom buys some sort of drink).

As NBC reports to chicken wing lovers everywhere:

Specifically, the fine print says moms “must be accompanied by one or more of her offspring” and make a drink purchase in order to claim their free meal. (Hooters did not respond to a request for comment or clarify if the drink purchase includes soft drinks as well as alcoholic beverages.)

This is a switch from last year, when the Atlanta-based chain gave away free wings on Mother’s Day and said in its promotional material that the “offer is good for all ladies who dine in at participating Hooters restaurants.”

Hooters gave away about 15,000 orders of wings last year and expects to give away almost 20,000 entrees this year, according to USA Today.

Of course, Bad Luck Brian just has to step in and remind you that, while your Hooters experience tomorrow may be embarrassing, his is far, far worse.
