Emmy and Golden Globe Award-Winning Writer-Producer Dies

The AP is reporting that Henry Bromell, an award-winning writer-producer, has died. He was 66.

Bromell took home an Emmy and a Golden Globe last year for his work on the Showtime drama “Homeland.” AP notes that in 1992, he won a Humanitas Prize, given to work that meaningfully explores the human condition, for the tv drama “I’ll Fly Away.” Viewers might also be familiar with other shows he worked on, including “Northern Exposure” and “Chicago Hope.”
