There’s been non stop chatter about the phenomenon that is Fifty Shades of Grey since it’s inception in 2011. So when news came out the following year that Universal Pictures had bought the film rights, fans of the book were going crazy choosing their perfect actors for the roles of the troubled yet handsome billionaire Christian Grey and the timid young Anastasia Steele.

Some of the fan favorite list of potential actors to fill the roles included actors like Ian Somerhalder,  Alexander Skarsgård, Ryan Gosling, and current Hollywood favorite Henry Cavill.

But in the end after all the polls, websites, and heated discussions over who it should be, the producers went with Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson.

Wait, what? Who are they, you ask?

Charlie is a British actor, best known for his role as Biker Jax Teller in a television series called “Sons of Anarchy” on the FX channel and Dakota Johnson is an actress who was the star of the now defunct short-lived tv show “Ben and Kate” who also happens to be the daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith.

They may be lesser known actors but that is about to change in a very big way.

Filming will start in October 2013 with a projected release date of August 1, 2014.
