BeautifulPeople.com, the dating website that caters only to good-looking folks, is rolling out a service to help employers hire attractive job seekers:
“An honest employer will tell you that it pays to hire good-looking staff,” said Greg Hodge, managing director of BeautifulPeople.com, in a statement. “Attractive people tend to make a better first impression on clients, win more business and earn more.”
Discriminatory? Elitist? Mean? Perhaps - if you are one of the jealous ugly people excluded from the site. Whether Hodge was emboldened by Abercrombie and Fitch’s marketing strategies or a desire to recreate the “Forbidden City” George Costanza found, it’s great to see the pretty people finally get some kind of advantage. And while it’s well past hiring time for the 2013 summer intern class, surely this site will prove useful in recruiting fall interns for offices run by middle-aged men.
Hodge insists he’s serious: ”This isn’t an invitation for crackpots to come and ogle our beautiful members.” That definitely won’t happen.
