Obama Donor Holly Paz Supervised IRS Tea Party Scrutiny

The British newspaper Daily Mail reports:

Holly Paz, a supervisor in the IRS’s Washington, DC office that issued rulings on tax-exempt groups, made a $2,000 contribution directly to the Obama for America war chest, and another $2,000 to the separate Obama Victory Fund, both in 2008, according to Federal Election Commission documents.
She has also been named as the attorney who monitored interviews conducted with IRS employees by Treasury Inspector General J. Russell George, as he investigated what would explode in May 2013 as a major crisis for the White House.

The revelation of Paz’s involvement, first reported Sunday by the Associated Press, contradicts claims by agency officials that the scandal was limited to low-level officials in a Cincinnati IRS office. However, neither NBC nor CBS mentioned the story in their Monday morning newscasts, according to Scott Whitlock of the Media Research Center. ABC gave a 22-second report about the IRS scandal Monday on Good Morning America, but did not mention Paz’s political donations to President Obama‘s campaigns. It has been reported that political contributions by IRS employees favored Democrats  by a 4-to-1 margin over Republicans.
