Dzhokhar, as many are aware, was on Twitter. Many people have combed through his tweets trying to find any indication that he was communicating with radical islam influences through his Twitter account.
Some people have keyed in on one specific retweet of a muslim scholar from Zimbabwe, Mufti Ismail Menk.
It happened to be the final item in Dzhokhar’s timeline:
Attitude can take away your beauty no matter how good looking you are or it could enhance your beauty, making you adorable.

Mind you, this has been retweeted over 2000 times, but nonetheless many people have grown suspicious of this scholar from Zimbabwe.
So, who is Mufti Ismail Menk?
In short, he is an islamic motivational speaker who has built quite a social media presence for himself.
He has over 100,000 followers on Twitter. As he points out…Dzhokhar wasn’t even one of them.
What’s noteworthy is that @j_tsar did NOT follow me @muftimenk Anyone care to notice that?

He also has north of 200,000 fans on Facebook.
But, are his posts inflammatory? Is he inciting some raw violence? These are the burning questions America has.
Here is one…a little prescient.
Don’t believe everything you hear about others. You might be totally wrong.

Ok. Not peaking your anger? How about this one?
Whilst goodness & blessings descend from the Almighty daily let’s make sure that our deeds going up are not bad & evil.

No?
Drive responsibly. It’s the basic right that other users of the road have over you.

Ok…that one might incite a riot in Manhattan…but for most of us? Nothing.
Bottomline. This guy is like an islamic version of Joel Osteen.

Offering fluffy religious concepts with very little actual encouragement to do anything more than behave like a decent human being should (again, difficult for Manhattan). Besides, he soundly condemned the Boston marathon attacks.
I would like to very strongly condemn the bombings in the US and express condolences to the families. The perpetrators must face justice.

Nothing to see here. Move along.
