Apple to Launch iRadio

iRadio

At Apple’s Annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, Apple Computers, on June 10, is set to announce its new internet radio service designed to compete with Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody and Rdio. The new service, aptly name iRadio, will launch Apple into the field of streaming audio. Though Apple has lead the way on mp 3 players such as the iPod, internet streaming radio is one of the few places Apple hasn’t been yet. That changes today.

According to CNET, Apple has secured deals with the three major record labels in preparation for the launch, Universal Music, Warner/Chappel and most recently Sony Music. Sony was the last holdout before signing. The issue had to do with what Apple should pay Sony if the user only listens to part of a song.

Also, today expect Apple to launch a new look operating systems for their mobile OS with iOS 7. This will be the first overhaul of the mobile look in in about six years.
