The MIT Technology Review has published their annual “10 Breakthrough Technologies” List for 2013. Included in this Jetson-age technology list is “Prenatal DNA Sequencing”, “Memory Implants” and “Ultra-Efficient Solar Power”. (see full list below)
Jason Pontin the London born editor and publisher of the Review said, “Every year we pick the 10 technologies we think most likely to change the world. We are interested in how technologies can solve really hard problems, whose solution will expand human possibilities. These technologies are an expression of our preferences and emphases, and they grow out of our reporting over the previous year,” He added, “This is the stuff we like.”
Noticeably absent from this year’s list, the car that folds up into a briefcase.
