As is often the case, tragedy brings people closer.
The terror attack in Boston has managed to soften even the most fiery rivalry. To honor Boston, the New York Yankees will play Neil Diamond‘s “Sweet Caroline” in the third inning. The song is traditionally played in the bottom of the eighth inning at Fenway Park in Boston.
The Yankees tweeted:
Our thoughts are with the Boston community. Tonight there will be a special moment of silence & Fenway favorite Sweet Caroline @ end of 3rd.
