So, in what appears to be a serious tactical error, during the SC-01 Congressional debate Mark Sanford attacked his opponent Curtis Bostic for his “poor” attendance record while a councilman. Claiming he missed “20% of his meetings and sometimes 30%.”
The problem? Bostic’s wife has cancer.
His son, Daniel Bostic, took to Twitter offended with the implication that his father absence meant he was a poor public servant. It looks like it hit home:

I can’t imagine that Stanford’s opposition research team feels good right now. At least I would hope that is the case.
