On December 29, 2012, Alivia Welch, 18, along with her boyfriend, Derrick Thompson, 19, were murdered by their landlord in Biddeford, ME. Local hip-hop artist and friend of Alivia B.Aull recorded “Liv and Let Liv” as a tribute to Alivia’s life. The video, which was released one month after her death, is incredibly touching and amassed over 30,000 views in one week. The song is available on iTunes (with proceeds going to Alivia’s family), and has been getting radio play on local stations.
