With the NFL draft just around the corner on April 25th in primetime, ViralRead has decided to put together a draft preview by position. Every day, we will post a new top 10 draft prospects by position.
We start with the big uglies.
Today the offensive line takes center stage. And with this year’s less than average hype at the offensive skill positions, it looks like the offensive linemen will be called a bit during primetime.
1. Luke Joekel, OT, Texas A&M
He is going to be well sought after with some projecting him number one overall. But he is definitely the number one O-Linemen to come off the board. Here is why:
2. Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
Not nearly as hyped coming from the MAC. But the fact that a lot of experts have him coming off the board as the number 2 or 3 O-Linemen says a lot. We have him at #2
3. Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
We refer to the guys in the trenches as big uglies. Lane was a former quarterback in high school. Yeah, you read that right…
4. Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
Our first guard on the list. The dude started 48 college games. NFL teams love guys who can contribute right away. Cooper will be one of those guys.
5. Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
The first OL from Alabama on the list. First of several who will be drafted. It pains me. It deeply does.
6. D.J. Fluker, OL, Alabama
6’5″, 339 pounds. Scary good.
7. Kyle Long, OG, Oregon
6’7″, 300+ pounds. Dear Lord in heaven. 300lbs people shouldn’t be able to dunk…
8. Menelik Watson, OT, Florida State
Few questions about skill. No questions about his leadership.
9. Justin Pugh, OT, Syracuse
We expect Pugh to go later than the 1st round. But he is still a solid prospect for teams wanting ready for NFL talent.
10. Dallas Thomas, OT, Tennessee
Some may be surprised to see this here as he has slid down draft boards as of late. We still feel he will be a top ten O-Linemen draftee.
