When I think of Vice President Joe Biden the first thing that comes to mind is ‘edgy’, ‘young’, ‘hip’, ‘technologically savvy’.

Wait… that’s not right.

If anything, I think of words like ‘bimbo’, ‘old man’, ‘outdated’, and ‘loose cannon’. However, it would appear that the Vice President is making one giant leap into the 21st century by taking a page from President FDR’s old playbook - the ole ‘Fireside Hangout’ on gun violence in America today. Only, instead of gathering ’round the radio, Biden is inviting anyone interested to tune into Google+ at 1:45 p.m. ET Thursday to listen to his conversation with venture capitalist Guy Kawasaki, video blogger Phil DeFranco and moderator Hari Sreenivasan, of “PBS NewsHour.” The chat is scheduled for roughly 30 minutes.
