Today we’ve put together a list of the top tight ends in the 2013 NFL draft.

1. Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame

The consensus number one TE to go off the board. Probably the only TE to go in the first round.

2. Zach Ertz, TE, Stanford

We are high on Ertz. We think that he should have won the award for nation’s top tight end. He had more yards than Eifert. But he doesn’t possess the straight line speed that makes the scouts ooh and ahh. We think in a few years, he will be a name worth knowing.

3. Vance McDonald, TE, Rice

His draft stock fell with his performance in the spring game. We still think he is a 3-4th round pick up.

4. Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State

At 6’6″ and 254 lbs, he has great size. He shies away from contact as he is more a catching tight end than a blocking tight end.

5. Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati

What really hurts Kelce is only one season of real production. He was suspended for an entire season for violation of team rules. The NFL over evaluates character and this will probably push him into the later rounds.

6. Jordan Reed, TE, Florida

Comparisons to Aaron Hernandez are always good ones. We like Jordan to be name to know for good fantasy production, especially, if he gets drafted by the Broncos or Colts.

7. Kyle Juszczyk, TE, Harvard

A little of a sleeper, he is trying to be the first Harvard player drafted since 2005. He will be on the bubble.

8. Nick Kasa, TE, Colorado

When you are best known for NFL teams asking you, “do you like girls,” that isn’t a great sign. Then again, it may be just enough exposure to get him a call in the later rounds.

9. Ben Cotton, TE, Nebraska

Great size and really good route running. Another bubble tight end that will probably have to wait for undrafted free agency to show his stuff. But if you ever need him to handle a difficult press conference about being fondled at the bottom of a pile…he is your man.

10. Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE, Auburn

He missed most of his senior season and that has hurt his draft stock, but he will definitely get a tryout if not drafted.
