Tonight was a night of surprises for anyone who attended the Georgia C.H.A.R.G.E (Citizens Helping America Restore Government Ethics) meeting in Gwinnett county. In a whirlwind of events, current Georgia Senator, Republican Saxby Chambliss is set to announce his intentions not to run for a third term creating a domino effect amongst current Republican legislators within the state. Chambliss, who was recently under fire for his involvement with the “Gang of Six” as well as his pushback against Grover Norquist’s all mighty tax pledge which he signed nearly 20 years ago, has certainly felt pressure amongst the grassroots and establishment in Georgia to step down from his post.
