Conservative activist and ‘gun girl’ Celia Bigelow confronted Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) this past weekend in Washington, D.C., over his whereabouts last Easter. Reporters following the Menendez scandal have pointed to this particular period of time as one that raises further questions about the allegations facing the Senator. Critics are not satisfied with the Senator’s reluctant partial disclosure.
The Washington Post yesterday, reported that the escort who appeared on tape accusing Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) of paying her for sex, has recanted.
The escort, Nexis de los Santos Santana, 23, said in an affidavit she was hired by lawyer Miguel Galvan to do a taped interview with journalists in mid-October. Galvan explained to her that a false account was needed for a divorce case. De los Santos said she was surreptitiously taped implicating Menendez, Melgen and prominent Dominican lawyer Vinicio Castillo Selmán, Melgen’s cousin, in hiring prostitutes.
“Those are my words and that is me, but it does not reflect the truth,” de los Santos said in her affidavit.
Late last night, the Daily Caller leaked yet another development in the prostitute scandal involving U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ).
The DC referred to the prostitute as ”Beth” who claims Mr. Menendez has become well known among high priced escorts “since at least 2008.”
Senior U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) went on the record stating he does not see why the embattled U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) would need to step down as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
In the wake of the brewing scandal, we wanted to highlight some Robert Menendez memes that are jetsetting around the interwebs.
Who said Robert’s the only one who can have fun these days?
After a full week of stone-walling reporters, Senator Robert Menendez finally broke his silence on the alleged scandal that involves him, a top donor, and several prostitutes, some allegedly underage.
Interviewed by CNN’s Dana Bash, the Senator was quoted as saying:

Melgen, whose office was recently raided by the FBI, is at the center of an ongoing investigation that includes U.S. Senator Robert Menendez (D – New Jersey). The two are suspected of participating in sex parties with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic.
The Miami Herald reported yesterday that frequent visitors of the now infamous Dr. Salomon Melgen included President Bill Clinton.
According to the article, the Doctor would hold lavish fundraisers in his 5,000 sq. foot “Casa de Campo” house in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Salomon Melgen, now currently under investigation by the FBI alongside Sen. Bob Menendez (D-New Jersey) for their alleged activities with underage prostitutes in the Dominican Republic, is no stranger to both current and former Democrat Senators -
