NPR’s Dina Temple Raston Blames Boston on ‘Right-Wing Individuals’

On NPR’s ‘All Things Considered’ yesterday, Counterterrorism Correspondent Dina Temple Raston concludes that the Boston Marathon tragedy was more than likely “a domestic extremist attack” citing April as a “big month for anti-government, right-wing individuals.”

In her segment, she notes that Hitler’s birthday and the anniversaries of the Columbine attack, the Oklahoma City bombing and the assault on the Branch-Davidian compound in Waco, TX all fall in April.

You've got to be kidding me. It is so disturbing that this reporter continues to interject her own bias as newsworthy when, in fact, it's no where near reality. We DO have the first admendment but freedom of the press assumed truth in reporting. NPR and the other media outlets regular disappoint. We have got to find a remedy. One is to discontinue contributions to NPR but that's not enough.

I am eagerly awaiting Ms. Temple-Raston's apology this evening.

Keep waiting, Suburban Sheepdog... One has to actually feel bad about their egregious behavior to remotely be sincere and make an apology. NPR - if you care - THIS is why I am not pledging any funds to NPR (I usually love NPR Programming) this year or any year that an intolerant dirtbag like Ms. Temple-Raston has a show. How her ever having a show in the first place ever came to be, I truly cannot fathom. Highly intelligent people with morally upstanding aspirations do not act like that in a public forum. It only embarrasses her and the people she DOES tolerate.

I expect NPR to be unbiased and impartial - why is that TOO MUCH? Instead of giving to NPR this year, I now have season hockey tickets for next year - Thanks Ms. Temple-Raston !!

You said it very well. I wholeheartedly support your views. I think you are right on target about "sincerity." I wish it were not so but it's likely that we will not get much of an apology from NPR. If we want to go to extremes, their type of reporting, itself, smacks of racial profiling!

I, myself, stopped contributng to NPR several years ago due to bias on in reporting. Like you, I am a fan of the cultural programming but I'll not continue to fund when they report from such an obviously biased position. I'm in favor of pulling its tax-funded status.

I have been on to their scam since the post-election campaign of 2000. They participated in the attempt to steal that election, putting out stories of Black people turned away from the polls, in Demagogue-held precincts, This was offered as the reason to recount ballots actually cast. So, no more listening, no more money.

If anything, the 2 terrorists were closer to "left wing" ideologues like Raston. They were 911 deniers who believed it was a Bush conspiracy to oppress Muslims and start a Middle East war. Like Raston, they were highly educated in our liberal eastern colleges. Like Raston and her idol Obama, they shared some of the same ideologies as Bill Ayers and other left wing radicals who used terror attacks to kill police and innocents. Raston is writing trash through NPR to forward more conspiracy theories to promote hatred toward those who have opposite political views. She epotimizes the radical left that only see one side of the political spectrum and hate those who do not share her views.

I posted about this yesterday. I don't think it's even honest speculation coming from MSNBC, NPR et. al., but an attempt to put the idea in the minds of low information voters that the opposition are natural terrorists.

And what are you drinking this time Dina? For an award winning journalist you have again sunk to a new lower level. Are you not getting enough attention? As usual NPR reports what they think and what they want anything but the real facts, truth, and honest factual news. I heard your Right wing comment on an Honest factual news station the other day. It is your child speaking comments, and substandard news reporting, which is standard for NPR , is why i DO NOT listen to NPR radio any more. I really don't give a s--t what you think but I'm interest in factual news.
And to think that tax payer money goes out to people like you. Have you thought about remedial studies to get yourself back on track or are you too old for that?

The NPR lady is blaming the Waco incident, where a Democrat President and his senior staff ordered tanks to set fire to a building full of kids on the right wing?

Sorry to disappoint Dina, but Naziism (ditto for Fascism) is a left totalitarian socialist scheme. It is only considered to the "right" by proponents of Marxism/World Communism. When Mussolini was bragging on FDR's role as Secretary of the Navy in WWI as proof that his own ideas of government control of industry could work, FDR played up the praise as most on our left admired Fascism. In the mid-30s, when Americans grew sour on Fascism, FDR started trying, with no basis except ballsyness, to portray Fascism and Naziism as similar to Republican politics. That's where this particular Big Lie got its start.

Just another liberal, hoping that she can blame the teaparty instead of her beloved Islamic jihadis....She is sad today, but she knows she is not wrong about who she sees as the real enemy to her big government agenda.

Typical liberal and a typically liberal response,

NPR unbiased?? That is a laugh..you forget about the shillers and the pandering to a group posing as wealthy potential donors from a fictitious Muslim organization..and also how they insulted the tea party before.

I am sure they loved the rapists of occupy, tho.

Today, April 22, is the birthday of Vladimir Lenin. It is for this reason that the "Earth Day" is designated to be on this date. It is huge for the Left.

Hitler wasn't a small-government gun rights advocate, he was a socialist gun grabber.

Hitler was also a racist, but that too puts him more at ease with the racist, identity-politics-driven American left than the race-neutral American right.

@NPRDina actually gets paid, partially by U.S. taxpayers, as a Counter-terrorism Correspondent. The most significant act of terrorism occurs in Boston and not only does she get it wrong, she casts blame on a large community of American citizens.

Thank God these liberal media "experts" are not in charge of investigations we would still be looking for Lincoln's killer.
No question but that Dina has a great future ahead of her, probably on #MSNBC. She certainly has the resume'.#tcot

This is what evil looks like.

They are DESPERATE. They can feel the nation slowly waking up from their nonsense and turning against them. They are losing control, their narrative no longer being the only one most people hear.

So they are doubling down on the lies and misinformation.

The only people fooled are that portion of the nation that is perpetually their fool.

Before the end comes for them, they will become even more desperate and brazen, which will accelerate their fall.

Like most people on NPR, she simply doesn't know what conservatives think is important, and so she makes up stuff. It hasn't occurred to her, for example, that conservatives think socialists are to their left, and that includes Nazis.

    1. Random nut case does something awful. Rush to judgement and blame the racismt violent tea party (even though the tea party has never been implicated in either proven racism or proven violence) and gun nuts, with zero proof. And then forget it when it turns out the views of the random nut case were either just nuts, or were actually leftist.
    2. Muslim jihadist does something awful. Solemnly state that we must not rush to judgement, we must wait to get all the facts, and we must understand their legidimate greivances. And of course it is never radical muslim violence, it is workplace violence, or some other PC BS.
Does anybody besides me see a slight inconsistency in the leftist line here.
